Hello everyone! Not much going on around here. Charlie and I had a low key weekend. Did lots of cooking and made some chili! Also did a little cleaning. I made the most delicious cornbread this weekend and I'll post the recipe when I find it.

Today at work wasn't bad at all, but I found out some sad news. On my floor, we take care of people pre and post heart transplant. I found out today that one of former transplants who was only 20 years old died. She was admitted on Friday for rejection and she went into cardiac arrest on Saturday and passed away. She was such a sweet heart and very independent. It makes me so sad, but I know she's an angel now. So Miss S., you will be missed and it was my pleasure to take care of you. Then we also had a man pass away in dialysis today. I didn't know him, but it was still sad all the same.

This weekend will be my last weekend working on my current floor. I worked today, I'm off tomorrow, then I work on Wednesday. I'm off on Thanksgiving and on Friday.
My schedule this week is screwed up majorly all because I refused to work three days in a row, which is why I think they screwed it up.

Lately I have been extremely obsessed with youtube. I think I may need an intervention. LOL! Just kidding. Another obession lately is R&B performer, Chris Brown. I can't get enough of him and yes I have his new album, Exclusive. I just think he's so talented. I mean he acts, sings, and is a wonderful dancer. He's in a movie that comes out this week called This Christmas. Plus he's just so cute.



Charlie and I will be heading to home to spend Thanksgiving with the family. I would like to wish everyone a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Let The Countdown Begin

I've started the countdown to my new job. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I will start there on December 3rd.

This past Monday, Charlie and I, went to see my Mom in Ocala. She's doing well and going at her usual speed of a thousand miles an hour. She still has her event monitor, but she hasn't had any events. She made chili, cornbread, and peach cobbler. All of it was so delicious. I got to see my aunts. It was a nice day. Charlie had an upset stomach most of the day. He had loose stool and was vomiting. I had to clean up my Mom's carpet. I felt so bad, but she was understanding because it's Charlie. He's been better yesterday and today.

I've been feeling kind of icky myself. My stomach has been feeling nauseated. I'm going to sip on ginger ale most of the day. Plus I'm having PMS. It's hard being a woman sometimes. But I'm glad I'm a woman.

I got myself a new toy. I got a Blackberry Pearl and it's hilarious to watch me trying to use it. But I'm getting better. LOL! It's my present to myself for my new job. I'm so technologically challenged. Is that a disorder? I think so! LOL! I'm enjoying it.

I picked up my CPAP machine last Wednesday. I plan to start using it tonight. I have been forgetting to get the distilled water that have to use in it. I hope it helps me sleep better.

I got back to work tomorrow and I'm off on the weekend. I don't have any big plans.

My Weekend

Today I did a few housekeeping things. Then this afternoon, I met a friend at the gym for a class called Zumba. It was so much fun. Here's the link for you to check out: www.zumba.com. I am so sore right now. I also exercised on Saturday. I made Adrienne's recipe for Baked Potato Soup and it was the bomb! So delicious. Thanks Adrienne for sharing the recipe on your blog.

I'm going to tell my supervisor that I'm leaving the floor effective the end of this month. Do you know I've never left a job? It's really just a transfer, but I've never worked anywhere else. It's been nine years that I've worked where I've been at. It's past time to move on and I need a change. The Lord is taking me in a different direction and I know He would never lead me in the wrong direction.

Wonderful News!!!!!!

I have wonderful, stupendous, splendiferous news! I went on an interview this past Monday for the Recovery Room in the same hospital I currently work at. And guess what???? I got offered the job. I'm so excited! I'm also scared, nervous, etc. But mostly just so happy. I want to enjoy my job again. I'm not saying that I hate everything about where I work right now, but as I've said many, many times here, it's time for me to move on. Yeah Me! The Diva is moving on!

Some of you thought that I possibly carved the Hello Kitty pumpkin in my last entry. LOL! NO Way. It is a picture I found on the Internet. But wasn't it cute?

There's not much going on with Charlie and I. I spent the whole weekend catching up on things that I didn't get to do last week. I finally got some sleep and I'm back to my routine.

My Mom is doing fine. She had some palpitations on Saturday and she recorded them on her even monitor. I'm glad she's going to have it for a month. Tomorrow will be her first day back at work. I'm so happy she's better.

Today has been a wet, rainy one here in FL. It finally feels like fall instead of summer here.

I'm just discovering youtube. I just found this great singer on there and her name is Lisa Lavie and she'll have a CD coming out soon. If you like R&B you'll probably like her. I've been playing her song Angel over and over. Check it out.
